Lenovo is expected to release a beast gaming phone which will surely give the competitors (Asus ROG and Razer Phone) a run for their money. Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone is supposed to surpass all the other gaming phones and also set new standards for upcoming smartphones.
Let’s look at the unique features of the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone first:
|Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone||Special Features|
|Screen Refresh Rate||144 Hz|
|Touch Sampling Rate||270 Hz|
|Charging||90 Watt (100% in 30 minutes)|
|Front Camera||Popup camera and the side instead of top|
|Charging Port||2 USB C ports, One on the side to charge while gaming|
|Cooling Solution||Dual Heatpipe partitions|
|Audio||65mm Dual speakers with 1.4cc large cavity|
The 90W charging is really impressive and this feature will also be available in all the Legion Non-Pro versions too. One USB-C is on the bottom and the other one is on the side which is used when you are holding your smartphone horizontally while playing a game. The thermals on this smartphone are supposed to be really good that you can even charge while gaming without the smartphone being overheated or throttled.
If there is one thing that separates a gaming smartphone from normal smartphones is the ability to dissipate a large amount of heat without causing any throttling. The sustained performance of a gaming smartphone is of the utmost priority. If a gaming smartphone can’t even maintain the frames per second for more than 1 hour, it would not fulfill its role as a gaming smartphone.
The 144 Hz is the first in any smartphone to date and it has a 270 Hz touch sample rate to match the refresh rate too.
The design of this phone is rather impressive. The cameras are in the middle instead of on the one-quarter of the top. The sides seem to be made of metal (probably aluminum). The star on the back lights up to give an impression of the gaming smartphone.
The specifications of this smartphone are Flagship Grade:
|Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone||Specifications|
|Rom||128/512 GB UFS 3.0|
|Display||Full HD+ 144 Hz|
|Cameras|| Rear: (64MP + 16MP wide-angle),|
Front-facing camera (20MP).
The speakers of this smartphone are also way bigger than normal smartphone speakers and the provided cavity of 1.4 cubic centimeters would sure help to improve the sound stage.
This smartphone ticks most of the boxes for a perfect gaming smartphone. But what a smartphone appears on paper does not mean it will perform exactly like that in real life. We would have to check the claims on the 90W charging and the cooling solution prowess once the smartphone is released.
The Legion gaming phone will also have gaming accessories.
It seems like a controller will be attached to the smartphone case for gaming purposes. There are some other things in this image but we are not sure what it is for now.
