There are multiple ways to build a gaming pc under 30000 Rs, either by getting a slow processor and a good graphic card or the other way around.
Due to the rising prices of new components in the market, building a pc with used components seems like a smart idea. Therefore, keeping in mind the availability, price, performance of the used components.
We build a used PC that will provide the best value for your money. In short, We will try to build a gaming PC in this article and try to keep the price of this used PC under 30000 Pakistan rupees.
Processor: (Price 4.5-9K)
The processor is one of the main and costly components in a PC. We can choose the processor from any generation from 1st to 4th.
The best value for money right now are third-generation processors. The following third-generation processors are recommended:
Core i5 3450 Core i5 3470 Core i5 3330 Core i5 3570 | Price: 4000-5000 PKR |
Xeon E3 1240V2 Xeon E3 1245V2 | Price: 7000-8000 PKR |
Since any third-generation Core i5 processor is recommended, the list is just for your reference. You might be wondering why we added Xeon Processors to the list.
You might have heard rumors about Xeon Processor not being as good as their counterparts like Core I processors but we have tested the mentioned Xeon processors personally, so no need to worry about these specific models.
These particular Xeon processors are very powerful and are as good as i7 3770. We have personally used Xeon E3 1240V2 for general tasks as well as gaming.
Motherboard: (Price 2-5K)
The motherboard seems like the trickiest part of a computer build. But there’s not a whole lot to worry about, there are only a few options to choose from.
Since motherboards are differentiated by the model of their chipset and vendors. Therefore, only a specific generation of processors are compatible with specific chipsets.
This part might feel a bit nerdy, but we have tried to keep the guide simple by making a comprehensive list of motherboards in this particular budget.
The first row chipsets are packed with the least features but include all the basic features. We have to keep our gaming PC under 30000. Therefore, H61 is the motherboard of choice for this price range. This list includes:
H61 H67 | Price: 2000-3000 PKR |
P67 B75 Q77 H77 | Price: 4000-5000 PKR |
However, make sure to choose from reputable vendors and not some unknown vendor from aliexpress.com. Reputable vendors include ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Asrock, etc.
There are only a few models of H61 that have 3.0 USB ports. So, you will have to check the specification sheet of the Motherboard before buying.
RAM: (Price 4K)
The amount of ram needed for this used PC is 8GB which is plenty for most of the games. Either buy 2x 4GB ram sticks or 1x 8GB ram stick and make sure to get it in 1600 Mhz speed if possible. Otherwise, 1333 Mhz is also fine.
The recommended motherboard has only two slots for RAM. So, if you have to upgrade in the future to 12GB or 16GB, buy a single 8GB stick. Try to get the RAM in good condition with little discoloration and wear to the golden strip. In short, the physical condition of the RAM should be good.
The performance would always be better if you use two ram modules of the same bus speed (i.e. 1333 or 1600 Mhz) instead of just one stick.
Graphics Card or GPU: (Price 8-15K)
The graphics card is a really important part of a gaming PC. It boosts up the graphical performance of your computer. You can either choose from Nvidia or AMD.
Try to adjust your budget, so the budget may not go over 30000 for the gaming PC. Because of this, we have made a list of the graphics card to choose from.
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti 2GB AMD Radeon R7 260x 2GB | 8000-10000 PKR |
AMD Radeon R7 265 2GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 950 2GB | 11000-12000 PKR |
Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB AMD Radeon RX 460 2GB/4GB AMD Radeon RX 560 2GB/4GB | 12000-15000 PKR |
Note: Just like motherboards, graphics cards also have different vendors to choose from. The most reputed ones are ASUS, Gigabyte, EVGA, Sapphire, MSI, Zotac, XFX, Powercolor, PNY, Galax. Therefore, make sure to purchase from one of these brands. There are few tips for buying used GPU:
- Check GPU temps by running a stress test application like Furmark or MSI Kombustor. (It should not cross 80C as these particular GPUs don’t produce a lot of heat)
- Check the condition of fans, they should not produce any wobbly noise.
Hard Disk (HDD): (Price 1.5K)
There are different brands for hard disk but we will recommend the following:
- Western Digital (WD)
- Seagate
- Hitachi
For instance, to check the Hard Disk, use a software called “Hard disk Sentinel”. This program would tell about the performance, health, and number of hours the Hard Disk has been used for. However, we still have to check the speed of the hard disk by using “HD Tune”.
NOTE: Make sure to go into the “S.M.A.R.T” tab in the Hard Disk Sentinel and tick all options. Some sellers might untick some options to trick you into showing a 100% healthy Hard Drive.
Make sure the health and performance of the Hard Disk are 100% using “Hard Disk Sentinel” before buying.
For our Rig, I think 500GB is enough. 500GB Hard Disk used costs around 1500 PKR.
Power Supply: (Price 2K)
A power supply controls the power requirements of the computer. A bad power supply can potentially fry out components. Therefore, it’s not wise to cheap out on power supply.
For this build, at least 400W PSU is required with at least one 6pin connector Well, there are some tips that should help you find out a good power supply.
- The power supply would be better if you buy it from a reputable vendor e.g. are Seasonic, Cooler Master, Corsair, Thermaltake, Xigmatek, Antec, XFX, Rosewill, EVGA.
- It must have at least 80+ efficiency.
- The PSU should have at least a 1x 6pin connector.
- The power supply fan should not be loud.
Note: Since there are a lot of OEM power supplies from prebuilt systems in the market. They are mostly from brands like Dell, HP, Acer, ACBell. They are also worth purchasing if they are offered at a cheaper price. Just follow our tips above before making the purchase of OEM PSU.
Solid State Drive (SSD): (Price 3-4K)
This is an optional item on this list. If you buy the GPU for 8000-9000 PKR, you will have a surplus of 3000 after buying everything else. Therefore, you can use these 3000 PKR to buy SSD.
A SSD can load up windows within 10 sec.
It is a personal preference. You will have to buy a mediocre GPU for SSD. The operating system can sometimes choke the HDD. SSDs are very good at handling multitasking and ideal for the Operating system. It is assumed to be 5-10 times faster than a standard hard disk.
We believe that a build made in 2020 should have an SSD. For the budget of 3000PKR, you can buy used and as well as a new 120GB drive but we suggest buying new as the price difference is negligible.
There are multiple sites where you can buy from like CZONE, GTSTORE, SHINGPOINT, etc.
Do not worry, We have made a comprehensive list of TOP 10 SSDs to buy in Pakistan. You can check that here:
LIST AND GUIDE OF SSDS PAKISTAN 2020
If you somehow have a budget of over 30000 for the gaming PC, better value for money is 240gb SSD. It costs 5000 and is double the storage.
Casing: (Price 1K)
For this budget PC, we do not want to spend a lot of money on a casing. But for the sake of covering this, you can get any local casing from your nearest computer market.
A local casing can be easily bought for 1000 PKR. If you can not find a good casing in this budget, you can always buy a pre-built PC casing for 600-800 Rs from your local market. For example, the casing of OPTIPLEX 7010.
Buy a large casing with enough space for your graphic card and Power Supply. Similarly, there should be intake(front fan) and outflow(back fan) fans inside your case. If there is not you can buy them very cheaply from local shops.

Why not Pre-Built PC?
There are a lot of Dell and HP prebuilt computers in the market also called OEMs or Prebuilt PCs. These PCs have already installed components.
But the problem with them is that you can’t really change the motherboard and power supply of some of these PCs. That ends up hurting the future path to upgrading your PC.
In short, if you really want a hassle-free experience, you just have to check if your graphics card can fit inside the case of the PC and the power supply is sufficient enough to handle the graphics card.
The custom build is preferable and more future proof because it helps you change any component.
Conclusion:
This build is an entry-level gaming PC that can run all the popular titles above 30 FPS on 1080p resolution and costs only 30000 PKR. So, if you are on a tight budget and need a gaming PC under 30000.
I hope this guide has helped you and if you have any other questions regarding the gaming PC we build, ask us in the comments.
You should go with an i5 2500 or 2500k instead of using a 3rd gen i5, this saved money can be used on a graphics card, ex 540 should be preferred
and the benchmarks I suppose that you have picked from internet as they may be wrong as the pc of the specs that you have made should have a higher fps count
rx*
We didn’t choose i5 2500k as i5 2nd gen suffers from slower ddr3 ram(upto 1333mhz unless overclocked) and due to being older architecture (based on 32nm) in contrast to 3rd gen (based on 22nm) architecture consumes more power and also supports PCI Express 3.0, both have fairly similar prices at this point which makes i5 3rd gen a compelling choice. Speaking of variation in results, we’ve assembled the complete PC ourselves and made sure to benchmark as fair as possible. We believe the variation in results are within margin of error of other sources.

Assalam o Alaikum!
This is best article about gaming pc under 30k budget. I need your suggestion about a configuration of gaming zone with capacity of 30 seat. Above mention specs are good enough and or little bit need to change for professional environment.
WA SALAAM. Thank you for your appreciation. To answer your question, if you want to run e-sports titles like CS-GO, Fortnite, PUBG, or GTA 5, etc. This should be enough for all of them. One more thing, due to the price hike of GTX 750ti (12k), it would be better to consider GTX 660 (12-13k) or RX 460/560 2GB (12-13k).
